Job Summary:

The Snowmaking Operations Foreman is responsible for safe, effective, and efficient operation and maintenance of the snowmaking system. The Snowmaking Operations Foreman will also provide leadership, training, instruction, and direction to the staff in their oversight to ensure safe operation of all snowmaking activities and promote growth of team members.The Snowmaking Operations Foreman will report to the Snowmaking Manager and Snowmaking Supervisor and will oversee all day-to-day snowmaking operations including all Snowmakers and Snowmaking Hill Chiefs on a designated shift, year-round.

• Supervise, directly and indirectly, a staff of up to 30 snowmakers and hill chiefs.
• Supervise, plan, coordinate and perform all snowmaking operations of a designated shift as directed by the daily snow plan.
• Plan, issue and monitor daily work assignments.
• Ensure that all goals of snow plan are being met and adjust as necessary.
• Monitor the snowmaking system continuously to ensure maximum water and air utilization.
• Monitor work in progress, ensuring alignment with snow plan, weather, and snowmaking system utilization.
• Inspect all snowmaking activity and equipment throughout shift and mitigate, repair and/or report any issues.
• Assist the snowmaking manager and supervisor with interviewing, hiring, and training all snowmaking employees.
• Assist with employee performance evaluations, employee disciplinary items, planning staffing needs and work schedules.
• Prepare various reports and records daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Ensure all snowmaking personnel abide by and are signed off on all protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Train staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment, supplies, vehicles, and other items.
• Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, other company personnel/ departments and outside contractors to ensure work is done safely and efficiently.
• Provide superior service to customers (internal and external).
• Follow theResort Etiquette Guidelineswhile interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Assist in other departments and perform other tasks as needed or assigned.

• Able to perform in severe or inclement outdoor conditions for sustained periods
• Able to lift 75 lbs
• Valid driver's license

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience, leading and supervising others
• Snowmaking experience: 3-5+ years
• Summer Snowmaking experience: (preferred, but will train)
• Good physical condition
• Mechanical aptitude
