SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a SME System of Systems Engineer in Fort Hood, TX. This position may be worked remotely. The ideal candidate will possess extensive agile-based experiences engineering computer systems and architectures or system-of-system engineering environment(s).

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• Meeting with the management team to assess and define the system requirements.
• Analyzing network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
• Developing and designing network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
• Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
• Monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
• Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions.
• Preparing network analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
• Training the engineering team on new systems, protocols, and best practices.
• Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.

• The ability to obtain and/or maintain an active Secret Clearance
• US Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree any field plus 15 years of specialized experience, Bachelor's in specialized field plus 10 years related experience, or Masters in specialized filed plus 5-year related experience.
• An IAM II certification such as CISSP or CASP
• Familiarity with operating systems, such as Linux and UNIX.
• Experience with database management software, such as MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Excellent scripting skills with knowledge of programming languages, such as Perl, Ruby, and Python.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP, IP, and OSI models.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Top Secret clearance is preferred
• Certifications demonstrating experience operating in agile teams such as: Agile Alliance Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), SAFe 5.0 DevOps Practitioner, Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Developer (PSD), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

• Candidate will lead Scrum teams comprised of 6-8 contributors.
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
