We are looking for an experienced controller to join our team. The ideal candidate has an accounting background and has worked with small to mid-sized businesses (ideally multiple clients at once).

This is a remote role with the possibility of either full time or a contractor that would be between 30-40 hours a week. While nationwide is possible, ideally the candidate would live in the Kansas City area.

Regular Tasks For This Role:

• Serve as Controller for multiple small and mid-sized business clients
• This includes bank reconciliations, financial statement preparations, etc.
• Manage cash flow on multiple bank accounts
• Payroll and sales tax return preparation
• Daily/Weekly/Monthly interaction with clients
• Clear communicator, detail-oriented and provides timely follow through
• Able to develop operational budgets and see them through
• Process oversight for accounts payable, receivables, reconciling, etc.

Skills / Experience / Education

• Degreed Accountant with 7+ years’ experience
• Helpful Software experience (QuickBooks, QBO, MS Office)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail oriented / Strong critical thinking
