Slitter Operator/ Heads Setter
- Responsible for ensuring the right coil is being cut per each work order.
- Set heads to cut steel per the current work order.
- Maintain quality standards by measuring and verifying lengths before during and after processing steel.
- Adjust machine setup to correct issues as needed
- Fill out proper production paperwork.
- Assist in troubleshooting and complete preventative maintenance as necessary.
- Remove scrap from machine.
- Clean slitter, heads and surrounding area.
- Communicate with co workers and management in order to maintain high quality and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating a slitter
- Basic Math Skills required
- High attention to detail and safety
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to multi task
