About the Role: We are looking for a Creative Director to join the SITKA ® Gear team. This person will be responsible for building the multi-year creative campaign solutions in alignment to the editorial calendar and marketing roadmap.

This position will be located at our facility in Bozeman, Montana, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.*

Responsibilities:

  • Set the creative vision for the brand, deliver a premium brand experience that establishes Sitka’s brand position, while growing brand awareness among endemic and non-endemic audiences
  • Work with marketing leadership to align the marketing and creative teams on seasonal story concepts, brand treatments, and product launches to ensure commercial success and remarkable brand experiences
  • Use deep knowledge of premium asset production and storytelling mediums, including photography, film, copy, music composition, to create high-quality visual and digital content while maintaining the brand visual and voice identity in a multi-channel environment
  • Ensure project briefs are clearly defined, well understood, and communicated to internal and external teams including creative concepts, asset deliverables, budgets, and timelines
  • Guide the production of all visual and digital content from initial briefing through post-production, including calendars and budgets
  • Through the Go-To-Market process, present compelling product launch concepts, editorial direction and creative solutions to cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Analyze the effectiveness of creative alongside go-to-market teams; reviewing data, diagnosing opportunities and challenges, and developing actions for the future
  • Build, scale, and manage a highly productive in-house and freelance creative team to meet the seasonal business needs
  • Skillfully manage relationships with external partners, including content producers, artists, influencers, design agencies, photographers, project managers and freelancers, to ensure they are aligned to project expectations and brand standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Creative Director or Associate Creative Director leading people and overall creative strategy
  • Minimum of 5 years with a +$300M B2C and B2B premium consumer brand
  • Proven understanding and success in discovering and telling remarkable stories through premium brand communications
  • An intimate understanding of design, copy, image, video and web best practices/guidelines and expertise with the latest content and creative techniques and applications (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • A creative visionary who can also collaborate and articulate strategies and concepts to cross-functional partners and leadership while distilling their feedback into action
  • Strategic orientation with an ability to execute on the brand vision in a fast-paced, deadline driven, agile environment
  • Multi-faceted and innovative problem solver who can deliver and launch initiatives on time, on budget, and on strategy
  • At a minimum, a curiosity about hunting and the thoughtful hunter’s lifestyle
  • Proven ability to build and manage a highly productive in-house and freelance creative team
  • Ability to travel 15%

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
