This position will support the goals and vision of Fireside Hearth & Home, this position is required to cover various aspects of manufacturing and assembling component to build custom wood garage doors.

Essential Functions

• 
  Possess basic carpentry skills with working knowledge of hand tools or light powered tools to construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, or finished products.
• Trained and proficient in all cells/work stations to assemble/fabricate wood doors to takt time and as outlined in standard work.
• Rotates jobs according to job rotation schedule.
• Completes quality and safety checks, procedures, and documentation.
• Performs equipment preventative maintenance as directed.
• Accurately use measuring tools to check requirements.
• Practices safety awareness (i.e. JSA, LOTO, Certified Safe Member, 6S)
• Participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Recognizes and responds to internal and external customer needs.

Skills and Abilities

• 
  Can rotate assignments according to job rotation schedule.
• Willingness to assist in other production areas as needed to support the needs of the overall company.
• Focused on the direct impact to the quality of product produced.

Education & Experience

• 
  Some knowledge of basic carpentry skills.
• Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, decimals), reading and writing

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years of work experience (preferred)
• Proven carpentry skills
