Optiview is looking for a talented person to join our team, taking over the Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Specialist position. This role combines thinking/organizing/computer/attention to detail work together with a certain amount of manual labor.

The right candidate for this position will be detail oriented, self-directed, analytical, professional, and will be interfacing with a variety of software programs on a daily basis. This will cover the role of shipping out sold goods and physically receiving and storing goods as they come in. The role also requires the picking, pulling and packing of outbound goods and the movement and warehouse storage of inbound goods.

This person will work primarily with the programs Quickbooks, StarShip, and Excel, as well as managing our 18,000 square foot warehouse, receiving inbound shipments, preparing outbound shipments, tracking inventory, and packaging inventory. This position will also include filling customer orders in an efficient and effective manner, and ensure the quality of these orders meets company standards. Tools commonly used on the job include trays, dollies, pallets, trailers, forklifts, and pallet jacks; all of these tools must be used proficiently and in accordance with safety standards set by government regulations and company rules. Work is primarily performed indoors.

Shipping / Receiving Responsibilities:

• Inbound Receiving
• Unload inbound container shipments
• Accurately verify shipments against packing slips and/or purchase orders
• Outbound Shipping using UPS StarShip, or FedEx
• Communicate with Sales department, Tech Department, Purchasing department, customers, and shipping companies to monitor the status of shipped products.
• Secure and maintain outbound packages until next scheduled pick up
• Determine the best methods for packing each item to prevent damage and minimize costs.
• ● Work with Sales Team for small package quotes, freight LTL quotes, and hotshot quotes. Load outbound shipments for LTL and hotshots using forklift.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

• Maintain a neat and organized work area
• Maintain stockroom and receiving dock area through organization and cleanliness; adhering to storage design principles; continuously driving improvements
• Product reboxing as needed
• Put away stock according to departmental guidelines
• Store, track, and locate items in a warehouse and prepare them for shipping, and complete invoices, bills, and documentation.

Inventory Management Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the physical incoming and outgoing inventory with regular cycle counts.
• Work with Director of Purchasing to communicate low inventory stock, backorders, and more.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or an equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience with forklift, forklift certified or able to become forklift certified.
• Able to operate a pallet jack.
• Proficiency in material handling and stock control with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
• Unquestionable personal integrity and work ethic
• Extreme attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer skills including experience with (or ability to learn) Quickbooks, Excel, MS Office, Gmail.
• Basic Math Skills
• Able to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong customer service mindset and driven to find resolution.
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to pass a drug check and background investigation.
• Able to read, comprehend, and follow documentation written in English
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs safely over your head. To include standing, bending and kneeling as needed to perform this task.
• Able to sit and stand for long periods of time

Pay:$17.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
