Tekni-Plex is searching for a shipping/logistics specialist. The right candidate will be an expert in shipping and logistics and insure that all outgoing product will be shipped out accurately and on-time. The successful candidate will have excellent organization and and administrative skills along with excellent communication skills. Must be willing to call and communicate with carriers, customers and vendors. Candidates with only warehouse, receiving and forklift experience will not be considered.

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Under minimum supervision, the clerk ensures all shipments and deliveries are properly coordinated, scheduled, documented and communicated between Customers, Vendors, Carriers, Customer Service and Quality Control. Ensures incoming and outgoing shipments are prepared by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

A Successful Candidate will have:

• High school graduate or equivalent GED certification.

Preferred 3-5 years of experience in shipping/receivingMinimum 1 year in logistics/shippingBasic knowledge of procedural technique or processes.Computer literacy – MRP, Microsoft Office, FedEx Software.Must have excellent math skills and the ability to work with measurements and ratios.Must have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Familiarity with shipping documents, domestic and internationally.Certified to operate forklift is preferred.Capability to lift and/or move 50+ pound packages.Strong organizational skills.
