Job Summary

The facility at Turners Falls is seeking motivated, dependable Shipper for 1st Shift. The goal of this role is to accurately warehouse and ship product in a timely and cost efficient manner with a prime focus on meeting customer needs and expectations. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver product from holding area to appropriate location
• Palletize orders and prepare for shipment
• Process orders and create tracking labels and waybills/BOL's
• Enter tracking information in appropriate locations
• Add freight costs to pick list
• Prepare all necessary shipping labels and documents as required
• Determine and call appropriate freight carriers with cooperation and communication from other shipping personnel
• With assistance from customer service, research and rectify shipping discrepancies and concerns
• Keep track of back-order shipments
• Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work to be done
• Work proficiently in a team environment
• Ensure a safe work environment
• Assist in training, as required
• Assist other team members when needed
• Perform other duties as required

Required Skills/Experience/Education

• Ability to work long hours on your feet
• Be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to learn to operate a forklift and use a handheld scanner
• Must be detail oriented with proficiency reading and understanding letters and numbers
• Must possess basic keyboard and computer skills

• Must be able to understand and follow all established safety procedures and guidelines
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the facility
• Must be a team player and have the desire to learn
