The primary role of Support Staff is to offer assistance, support and encouragement to all Veteran clients in the facility by helping to meet immediate basic needs, assisting with daily activities, assisting meal providers and other sub-contractors, limited cleaning, and performing general administrative functions. The Support Staff follows established low barrier guidelines to create a safe and stable environment for residents entering the program.

We are looking for someone with sensitivity, great communication skills, patience, kindness, understanding, is an advocate, is resourceful, is quick to act and thinks on their feet. We also require:

• High school diploma, and or equivalent, and one (1) year of continuous experience working in support of homeless populations preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in verbal, written and electronic mediums.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
• Willing to work with individuals who may have mental health, chemical health or physical disabilities.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
