Sheet Metal Worker/Water Jet Operator Job at Hi-Lite Manufacturing
Duties
- Select types of sheet metal needed for projects
- Measure and accurately mark reference lines and dimensions on metal sheets
- Drill holes in metal for rivets, bolts and screws
- Use precise measuring tools such as scales, calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and confirm accuracy
- Operate FLOW Water Jet Machine using works orders, drawings and specifications to determine necessary setup and materials
- Load and feed machine as needed
- Install and align machine accessories either manually with hand tools or by inputting coordinates into machine control panel
- Manipulate machine controls to implement cutting adjustments
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, tape measure, indicators, etc.)
- Ability to read drawings and specifications with knowledge of geometric tolerance and dimensions
- Maintain machine with recommended and preventative maintenance
- Communicate with other departments to ensure production quality standards are met
- English language fluency
This is a full-time position.
