Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our Technology Team based in Plantation, FL or Boston, MA. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be a part of our Internal Tools Product Team to expand and maintain ServiceNow application(s). This Senior ServiceNow Developer will serve a fundamental role in increasing the ROI of the platform. This person will work directly with the Corporate Systems Technical Product Teams to deliver technical solutions to solve business problems across the organization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and participate in customer requirement workshops, working with product owner/stakeholders to design, configure and develop solutions on the platform, using Flow Designer and JavaScript to manage processes and meet business requirements
  • Focus on driving maturity of the ITSM, HR, GRC, ITOM, SecOps modules & implementing advanced features
  • Develop systems integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, MID-servers, etc.
  • Create and maintain system design and operations documentation
  • Create and implement client scripts, business rules, script includes, UI Policies, ACLs, and otherwise configure or modify ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements
  • Provide input to the project’s technical documentation like Architecture Document, Implementation/Deployment plan, Security profile document etc.
  • Actively participate in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily in SNOW documenting development progress, and collaborating across platform teams
  • Provides mentoring and guidance for other ServiceNow developers and team members
  • Maintains technical expertise, follows and promotes best practices in ServiceNow

What you will need:

  • 6+ years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM tool
  • 4+ years’ experience in ServiceNow development – experience should include scripting, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment; specifically, candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications including experience in implementing, configuring, and enhancing Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD)
  • 4+ years’ experience with web technologies (JavaScript, XML, HTML, AngularJS, Restful API, PowerShell etc.) and excellent knowledge and experience developing with JavaScript
  • Proficient in building complex flows via ServiceNow Flow Designer
  • Experience building custom applications leveraging out of the box features
  • Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations and priorities. Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a successful implementation
  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record working with ServiceNow Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Integration Hub, and at least 2 of the following: ITSM, ITBM, GRC CMDB, and App Engine
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data schema and underlying tables with ACLs for various modules
  • Strong understanding of all technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including SNOW architecture, Application UI, Process and solution integration, Workflow design/ configuration, Reporting, and Integrations
  • Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Proven ability to understand complex business requirements and convert them into scalable solution designs
  • Ability to partner with with team members and Human Resources stakeholders to improve and optimize features, practices, processes, and operations
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Provide subject matter expertise/thought leadership in the ServiceNow platform and technical mentoring including training and guidance of junior staff and administrators in the use of best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute
  • Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience
