Summary:

As service writer, you will work in conjunction with the service manager and are accountable for the future, wellbeing, and integrity of the service department. You are responsible for communication with other departments, vendors and the first and final contact with the customer. You are responsible for ensuring that the billing, whether directly to the customer, warranty or internal, is accurate, complete, and done in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

· Answering all incoming calls for the service department. You are responsible for ensuring quality customer service and being our “Farm Equipment USA Charter”, leaving each customer with a quality experience.

· Creating service calls for the shop and the field.

· Prioritizing the scheduling of the techs and the trucking team based on customer need/priority.

· Warranty claims process – billing warranty claims to vendors and ensuring payment is received.

· Communicating between departments – You will work with the service manager, the parts department, and the sales team to make sure that work is flowing and nothing is being dropped that would delay work on customer equipment or leave the customer with a bad experience.

· Department profitability and revenue – working with the service manager to ensure we meet the P&L and agreed upon targets.

Requirements:

  • Must have computer experience, with Windows 11 Pro and Windows Office 365 suite.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess critical problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Must have ability to work with minimal supervision and frequent interruptions.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to shift focus with changing priorities.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
