Ford Mobile Service Technician

The Position (hourly or flat rate comp plans available!):

McFarland Ford is looking for a Mobile Service technician with a mechanical background. Our Mobile Service Technician is the face of our cutting-edge Mobile Service Department and is dedicated to developing trusting relationships by communicating effectively and engaging with guests. Our mobile service team is looking for a self-motivated technician who is dependable and trustworthy....someone to be a leader and help kick off this new venture. The days will be spent in the community traveling to businesses, and sometimes guests' homes, to perform services like recalls and maintenance.

Our primary focus is truck service for commercial and fleet businesses, but sometimes may service the general public.

Maybe you are newer to the industry and want to try something different or you are an experienced technician who would like to spread his or her wings and get out on the road....this job could be for you.

Qualifications:

2 - 5 Years of Technical On-the-job Experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and strong work ethic all while demonstrating behaviors consistent with the company's values in all customer interactions. A manufacturer's certification preferred but not necessary. Other preferred qualifications include:

• Automotive Technical/Trade School Degree
• Able to Operate Electronic Diagnostic Equipment
• Ability to Learn New Technology
• A Positive, Friendly Attitude
• Reading and Basic Computer skills
• Excellent Oral Communication Skills
• Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and be able to acquire a medical card

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional personal appearance always
• Organize and prepare for the day's appointments
• Apply hospitality skills by warmly greeting and engaging with many different guests each day
• Perform Multi-point Inspection
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Close out repair order
• Commit to a "leave-no-trace" clean up
