We are growing! The Service Support Technician will aide, support, and assist the service department Team with tasks related to customer service and Technician support. This may include but is not limited to moving and transporting trucks (CDL preferred), inspection of vehicles, facility housekeeping and maintenance support, oil sampling processing, and various assignments per instruction of Service Advisor.

Responsibilities:
  • Facility Housekeeping and building/grounds items as assigned
  • General custodial activities to include
  • Floor scrubbing, mopping, and sweeping
  • Trash and recycling
  • Winter – snow & ice removal
  • Tool room housekeeping and minor repairs
  • Basic facility grounds keeping.
  • Oil sample processing:
  • Processing samples per machine / equipment standards
  • Effectively manage the administrative processes
  • New vehicle inspections
  • New vehicle inspections per company / OEM process
  • Complete all appropriate administrative work for new vehicle
  • Truck moving and shuttling
  • CDL – class A or B; or must acquire within 90 days of hire.
  • Move customer trucks and equipment in and out of work bays
  • Coordinate with service writer; vehicle, truck, and equipment moves as directed
  • General support regarding repair orders and warranty repairs
  • General shipping and receiving tasks
  • General housekeeping of the warranty / shipping and receiving areas
  • Record serial numbers for repair orders and administrative processes
  • Report mileages on trucks and equipment
  • Forklift operations
  • Preventative maintenance per vehicle standards
  • Cab checks
  • Oil and fluid level checks
  • Engine compartment
  • External checks
  • Various duties assigned by Supervisor but not limited to the above itemized list
  • Follows all safety regulations and policies. Works safely.
  • Safety checks; eye wash station, fire extinguishers, oil tank measurements
  • Follows federal, state and local regulations governing hazardous waste disposal.
  • Proactively communicates job progress to service advisor and customer as needed.
Requirements
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to represent the company with professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Prefer valid CDL class A or B and Health Card in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Must possess clean driving record.
  • Able to stand and be physically active the majority of the work day.
  • Lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills and awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Ability to communicate orally in writing in English with customers, vendors, co-workers.
Shift Schedules:
1st - 7am to 3pm. Shifts may vary based upon location, customer, and business needs.
