The Position: The Service Supervisor acts in a supervisory capacity to carry out a wide range of responsibilities to train and evaluate the performance of mechanics. Assist with multiple task as needed related to preventative maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment. Assist customers, handling warranty issues on new and used trailers, generate repair orders, purchase job supplies for the service department, interview applicants for service mechanic jobs, conduct weekly safety and production meeting, prepare reports, process paperwork and track information, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements:

• 3-5 years of mechanic technician experience in the trailer industry.
• Effective communication skills at a level sufficient to respond to Company and vendor inquiries and to identify, investigate and participate in problem solving between departments.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft office suite.
• Ability to install the following parts: cross members, panels, posts, rails, door equipment, flooring, lights, wiring, brakes, valves, airlines, wheel end components, landing gear, frame assembly, and other parts; requiring the ability to lift up to 50 Ibs.
• Ability to examine system parts & safety devices looking for damage, excessive wear, and structural deficiencies on all types of trailers.
• A favorable background screening, Physical & Drug Screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States is required for employment.

Responsibilities:

• Independently train mechanics to build, rebuild and repair all parts of trailer equipment, as may be required in the department assigned.
• Assist mechanics as needed to inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Create and maintain safe working conditions within the shop and hold mechanics accountable to proper safety protocols with all shop tools and repair procedures.
• Read and understand job orders ensuring corrective action and the documentation of repair processes to company standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to communicate with customers and vendors and effectively resolve issues.
