Sodexo Healthcare Services at Howard University Hospital has an immediate opening for a Patient Services Manager 2. Howard University Hospital is a long standing partner with Sodexo with 225 beds and managing 8.5 million in volume. The Ops Manager 2 will suppoort the Gm in managing the day to day operation of the unit and ensure that all food quality is exceptional, patients, employees and staff are satisfied and create a great opportunity within the community for increased partnership.

The Patient Services manager will:
- have oversight of day-to-day operations of all food operations
- deliver high quality food service in patienbt areas
- Have a passion for helping patients get the best food service
- Will enjoy leading a team that serves all patients
- achieve company and client financial targets and goals
- develop and maintain client and customer relationships
- create a positive environment
- ensure Sodexo Standards are met.
The ideal candidate:
- has healthcare experience in an urban setting
- Understands unions and how to work with unions to achieve success;
- has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
- has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and has a passion for a high level of customer service;
- can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities, as needed.

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.

Key Duties
- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
- Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.
- Performs audits and prepares reports.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
