Title: Service Administrator / Parts Coordinator
Primary purpose:
Schedule service repairs and preventive maintenance services with customers and dispatch technicians. Research and write quotes for customer. Update computer service records. Receive parts, inventory and stage parts for Service Technicians.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Write quotes for customers
- Phone and email scheduling of service and repair for customer’s equipment
- Conduct follow-up on repairs to insure completeness of the job
- Review technical manuals to understand service and parts requirements
- Understand and relate to customer’s technical concerns
- Parts receiving, ordering and inventorying
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma; business training is helpful
- Specialized training; computer skills and typing
- Previous experience: 4 years of customer service experience, preferably in a mechanical related business. Experience must include working in a self-directed position.
Reasoning and Organizational Skills:
Ability to read and interpret procedures, parts manuals and vendor quotes.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and customers. Participate in training, meetings and discussion groups effectively.
Provide the necessary information to technicians about the scope of the work to be performed and provide parts personnel the necessary information for ordering service and repair parts.
Desired Basic Skills:
- Knowledge about air compressors and compressed air systems would be beneficial but is not required
- Type ~ 40 WPM
- Effective letter writing ability
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and coordinate between departments
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Self-directed with ability to accept departmental support
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 per hour
