Essential Duties:
- Greets guests as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
- Informs guests of specials and any potential menu changes or specials.
- Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests.
- Ensures guests’ satisfaction with food, drinks, and service.
- Performs any side work assigned for the shift.
- Attends any mandatory wine tastings or scheduled meetings to improve knowledge and efficiency.
- Refills nonalcoholic drinks such as soda, coffee, tea, and water without asking.
- Clears dinnerware at the appropriate times. (between courses and after the guest is finished with the meal)
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable about menu and drinks lists, including all food ingredients.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as the need arises.
- Prepares the final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- When possible, anticipate and deliver guest’s needs prior to being asked.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of related experience preferred.
- Valid LCC and Food Handler Permits and are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ability to operate point of sale systems.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Availability to work holiday services (or special events), such as Easter, Mother’s day, Thanksgiving, Christmas eve, New Year’s eve, or any weddings and private dining events.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
