Our Ideal Candidate:

The SEO Specialist is responsible for digital marketing initiatives, including search engine optimization (SEO), website optimization, and identifying opportunities to optimize digital financial education initiatives and marketing effectiveness. The role provides performance reporting and translates data sets into actionable results, supports the development of content creation across digital channels, makes recommendations regarding content changes to drive current and future business, as well as tests, reports, optimizes, and analyzes performance to identify key levers and opportunities for improvements.

A typical day might
include the following:
  • Works closely with VP Marketing Operations and Visual Marketing Manager to strategize and implement SEO strategies that align with segment interests and needs.
  • Conducts thorough and strategic keyword, market, and competitive research to support SEO and search engine marketing (SEM).
  • Works with Communications and Content Manager to execute content review and revisions in a strategic manner that optimize user experience and establishes the Credit Union website as best-in-class for SEO.
  • Creates SEO content templates for key pages that support broader SEO strategies across corporate websites.
  • Analyzes traffic, behavior, and conversion data to determine ongoing site optimization opportunities.
  • Utilizes data to set measurable SEO goals and create keyword, ranking, traffic, conversion, and revenue reporting for inbound users from organic search channel.
  • Works closely with Web Developer to monitor website speed and performance (web core vitals) and identify technical SEO opportunities to resolve site health issues.
  • Develops off-page SEO strategies, including inbound link, anchor text and domain analyses, and implementation.
  • Conducts A/B testing on evergreen and campaign webpages and microsites to drive scalable conversion optimization strategies.
  • Supports retargeting efforts and strategies across channels and products.
  • Provides detailed key performance indictor (KPI) reporting for paid and organic search channels and regularly maintains and optimizes website for performance improvement.
  • Partners with web team to optimize UX and UI through ongoing testing.

Education
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate degree Business, Marketing, Communication, Digital Culture, or related field required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additional college-level Public Relations, Marketing, and/or Communication courses a plus.


Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience performing SEO activities in a professional setting required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other SEO tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of web‐based applications and common Internet protocols and conventions (e.g., web browsers, email, HTTP, FTP) and office suite software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Basic knowledge of web display languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, Javascript).
  • Excellent written communication skills utilizing targeted keywords and diverse tone for segmented content strategies.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively articulator thoughts and points.
  • Strong attention-to-detail and multi-tasking skills in a deadline driven environment.
  • Intermediate understanding of SEO best practices for web content, including keyword selection, link building, content creation, keyword density analysis, and site linking.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.

Licenses and Certifications
  • SEO certification (e.g., Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)). Preferred
