Job Purpose
Performance of production and test activities according to EnerSys standards in the areas of: test setup, test monitoring, data acquisition, cell processing, and test harness assembly and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Test thermal batteries and assemblies following methods, procedures, standards and sequences.
- Maintains test records and data according to procedures and engineering requirements as specified by test request.
- Lays out and assembles product and electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, test and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.
- Modifies product and electronic equipment by adding, removing or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams, sketches and procedures.
- Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
- Uses hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control devices.
- Communicate well with members of engineering department and plant personnel.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Skilled in use of computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point).
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and orally when dealing with employees, customers and outside suppliers.
- Problem solving techniques.
- Familiarity with Lab Vue software and Dynamic/Climatic Test System software preferred
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree in a technical field and at least 10 years of related experience.
Computer Skills
Competent computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)

- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime.
- This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
