We have an amazing opportunity to join our fantastic Menzies Aviation team at our USA Corporate Office in Grapevine, Texas. We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to work closely with the group Tax team in the United Kingdom
We are looking for an individual who will get involved in the day-to-day detail of the Group’s tax payment and filing obligations but who can also take a strategic view of Group’s US tax profile.

Senior Tax Accountant
Reports to: Director, Tax
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, TX | DFW
Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Menzies Aviation and expand an in-house tax function in the US working closely with the Group Tax team in the United Kingdom.
The role offers a talented and ambitious tax professional with a broad range of technical work and the opportunity to shape the future of the US tax function within the North American business.
We are looking for an individual who will get involved in the day-to-day detail of the Group’s tax payment and filing obligations but who can also take a strategic view of Group’s US tax profile.
Main accountabilities include:
- Assist with day-to-day functions of the tax department for all US taxes to which the Group is subject including federal, state and local taxes, sales & use taxes, property taxes, franchise taxes, excise taxes and fuel taxes.
- Supervise preparation of monthly/quarterly filing of state sales & use taxes and excise fuel taxes (federal and state).
- Assist with preparation of federal, state & local income/franchise returns.
- Assist with state & local business license and property tax compliance.
- Also responsible for industry specific filings and managing outside audits.
- Assist with internal documentation for transfer pricing, preparation of foreign tax compliance, tax projection modeling and special projects.
- Manage government audits – sales/use tax, property tax, income/franchise.
- Research tax laws and regulations.

- Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
- Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
- Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA is a plus but not required.
- 6-9 years’ experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & VLOOKUP’s).
- Strong technology, research, and communication skills
- Staff supervision
- Must pass ore-employment background and a drug screen
