JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The change management analyst will work within Entergy’s analytics organization and lead change management activities associated with analytics projects that affect people, processes, and systems.

The analytics organization provides analytics products and services to leaders across the company. In order to use these analytics products and services, operational processes may require changes. The change management analyst will help facilitate process changes within organizations, enabling people to use, and get value from analytics products and services.

Analytics products are a combination of software, data, and other digital tools that provide insights and recommendations that business leaders may use to make tactical and strategic decisions. The analytics products may leverage a combination of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics approaches. These approaches include reports, dashboards, streaming data, regression models, learning models, spatial models, and other analytics techniques. The change management analyst need not be an expert in these various analytics products as the primary focus of the role is to help the business users of these products adapt their processes so they can take full advantage of the product themselves.

The change management analyst will work on multiple analytics product teams concurrently. Each product team will be comprised of dedicated roles including product owner, product manager, data engineer, data scientist, and others. The change management analyst will also be part of the product team but only be involved as necessary to support change management activities, effectively floating across four different product teams. Depending on the phase of product development, the change management analyst will have a primary role while in other phases of product development, the change management analyst may not have a role whatsoever.

The change management analyst will develop and leverage a standard, repeatable approach to change management. The role requires both knowledge of change management best practices and experience leading change leveraging these best practices. For analytics products and services, the change management analyst will work with business leaders and users to help get the maximum benefit from these products and services. Change management activities include conducting stakeholder analyses, develop communication plans, create communication content, develop training plans and materials, map current business processes and assess how processes will change with the introduction of analytics products and services, and develop change tactics tailored based on the unique characteristics of the product.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and implement change management strategies and plans in order to maximize employee adoption of analytics products and services.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to management as they help their direct reports through change transitions.
  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
  • Lead change management activities identified in change management plans.
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance to change through coaching, advising, and training.
  • Consult and coach project teams regarding change management processes and methods.
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
  • Communicate the existence, mission, and objectives of the analytics organization to senior leadership, ensuring the leaders understand the scope of the organization and how it can be successfully leveraged.
  • Track and report issues associated with the execution of change management plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position
  • Bachelor's Degree

Minimum experience required of the position
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years change management experience

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
