This position is responsible for:

  • Preparing and maintaining schedules necessary for assisting all third-party tax for global income tax, income tax provision, sales and use tax, personal property tax, and all other ad hoc request.
  • Coordinating and accounting global capital expenditure in accordance with GAAP.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manage, and maintain schedule for outside service provider for US federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and personal property returns.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain monthly schedules for outside service provider for various foreign HST/GST/VAT tax returns
  • Monitor all global income tax filings for compliance and issues, with assistance from outside service provider to ensure timely filing.
  • Coordinate with Treasury and Tax Providers for timely payment of income, personal property, sales and use, and real estate tax.
  • Report additions to real estate municipalities and coordinate payment of real estate tax bills
  • Assist in the preparation schedules for the annual income tax provision, US and foreign locations
  • Assist in the preparation schedules for annual transfer pricing reports
  • Calculate and maintain accruals related to maintain the integrity of the financial statements
  • Ensure timely filing to maintain North America business licenses
  • Drive completion of the global fixed asset month end close by day 0.
  • Prepare tax and fixed asset account reconciliations monthly
  • Drive closure and timely capitalization (assets placed in service) of all global capital expenditures.
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of Finance.

Experience: 5 years of combined general ledger accounting with experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) preferred. Income tax accounting preferred.

Specific Skills: Experience in general ledger accounting for multiple companies across foreign jurisdictions including multiple ERPs. Exceptional understanding of US GAAP (knowledge of IFRS a plus). Good judgment, problem identification and solving ability. Excellent time management skills, including ability to re-prioritize as needed and meet deadlines.

Certifications: CPA Required.

Computer Experience & Software: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, 10-key, Proficiency in Oracle, Advanced User Skills in Excel with ability to create and analyze large data sets.
