JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Proposal Manager will support the ITC Proposal Center of Excellence and work directly with the Chief Growth Officer and the Sr. Director of Proposals in the proposal development, management, and submission of bid opportunities in support of ITC's federal customers. The Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure bid success. The successful Manager will be able to align ITC and industry proposal management and best practices to support bid opportunities and increase the win rate. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Proposals
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides overall management of bids to include up to 2 to 3 at a time in support of ITC Portfolio.
- Independently supports the proposal management process, including the development of outlines, proposal schedules, and compliance matrices, and provides leadership over the teams to complete proposal efforts.
- Must be able to write non-technical volumes of proposals (Management, Past Performance, etc)
- Ensures proposals are compliant and compelling and include ITC successes, compel the government to buy the solution, complete the schedule, and have been edited accordingly for grammar, spelling, and typographical errors to support quality assurance.
- Works closely with capture managers to incorporate strategies, solutions, themes, and discriminators based on the needs of the proposal.
- Works closely with the proposal team, teaming partners, and SMEs to ensure the group meets the proposal requirements in a compliant and compelling way.
- Facilitates or participates in solutions sessions with teaming partners, SMEs, and proposal teams, identifying strengths, discriminators, and strategies with a compliant and efficient structure
- Supports maturation of processes within the environment, updates to templates and maintaining knowledge repositories.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors or master's degree in communication, Journalism, and Creative Writing
- Minimum of 8-10 years of proposal management experience leading teams to include kickoff meetings, color review cycles, and presentations
- Excellent communication skills leading and guiding teams during the proposal development process.
- Strong management and organizational skills
- 5 years of proposal writing experience with substantial contributions to large proposal responses to IDIQs, BPAs, RFQs, and large task orders
- Capable of interviewing and working with SMEs to complete technical sections of a proposal response.
- Must be able to write and take ownership of the sections to complete proposal responses.
- Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe PDF advanced skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to support multiple bids when required
- Must have the capabilities to work with varying personalities and work styles across the team successfully.
DESIRED:
- APMP, PMP, or Shipley Certification
- Working with Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to host solution sessions
- Strong skills in interviewing technical SMEs to develop written material
- Self-starter with little oversight, able to multi-task and be highly organized
