IBTS has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Proposal Manager who will be responsible for managing and writing IBTS’ proposals as a member of the business development team. This position accommodates onsite, hybrid, or remote.
This individual will review solicitations, develop outlines, identify existing relevant content, and coordinate with technical staff to manage the development of compliant, winning proposals. This individual must have knowledge across business, project, procurement, and proposal management processes and experience with collaborative and document development tools to successfully manage high quality proposals.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Assessing solicitations, response timeframe, resource requirements, and other proposal elements to determine the appropriate proposal resources, process, facilities, and schedule to meet requirements
- Participating in Go/No Go Decisions based on solicitation review
- Interpreting solicitation requirements or source selection regulations and proposal response strategy and approaches
- Translating solicitation requirements into compliance matrices and/or annotated proposal outlines and content plans
- Leading proposal kickoff and review meetings, teammate meetings, and data calls
- Establishing, communicating, and managing the proposal development and production schedule; maintaining and publishing updated schedules as needed
- Assessments, informal proposal reviews, publication/production efforts
- Writing sections of proposal documents based on interviews or existing content
- Serving as volume lead; proposal writer; color team or peer reviewer; or other proposal roles as required
- Editing content developed by others
- Coordinating proposal efforts to meet schedules and deadlines
- Maintaining proposal and capture tracking reports
Additional Responsibilities
- Assisting in all grant writing efforts, including responding to grant writing solicitations
- Providing writing support to other internal or external projects as needed
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with writing and business development, required.
- Project management skills, highly desirable
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of corporate personnel
- Technical writing and editing experience, including editorial practice and standards
- Familiarity with Federal procurement guidelines including GSA schedules
- Ability to lead diverse teams of senior and junior personnel effectively
- Ability to interview staff to gather information to complete a proposal or grant application
- Ability to work often unpredictable schedules
- Ability to travel on a limited, occasional basis
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
