Job Description Summary
With several recent wins on the T-7A Red Hawk and other international programs, the F404 production line is restarting and is positioned to quickly exceed the highest historical volumes for that engine line. To meet this demand the business requires a passionate and experienced person that will be responsible for leading a team to develop a strategic roadmap to successfully execute. This Leader will be responsible for developing a cross-functional team to elevate our production output by implementing lean improvements, investment plans, processes, etc. to effectively achieve our hyper growth.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute a strategic plan which will enable the projected F404 growth.
- Develop a multi-year production ramp roadmap and framework that enables us to deliver on our department and business targets.
- Engage both internally and externally across the supply chain to drive lean improvements, ensure sufficient investments and creating capacity.
- Provide candid insights to senior leaderships, creating buy-in, leading communication and brainstorming recommendations so that best possible solution is implemented and executed.
- Prioritize product requirements in defining product manufacturing capabilities & throughput, operational planning and execution, supply chain optimizations, implementation, and track progress.
Required Requirements/Characteristics
- 5+ years of product management, engineering, manufacturing, engineer-in-the-shop, or lean experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex project simultaneously with a bias for action.
- Data-driven individual
- Proven experience in rolling-up sleeves, taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience presenting to and collaborating with senior executive leadership.
- Prior experience in Lean, hardware procurement process, and “on-the-shopfloor”
- Keen ability to collaborate and build repour across all levels and functions of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience building and leading teams.
- Experience partnering horizontally with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Product Management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and execute in a matrix organization.
- Strong communication, influence, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance commercial\business and technical acumen.
- Develop production ramp roadmap and framework that enables us to deliver on our department and business targets.
- Identify investment that supports the identification and development of the product offerings for the business.
