Senior Product Management Analyst Job Description
The Senior Product Management Analyst is responsible for elaborating on user stories managing the Product Backlog and ensuring the on-time delivery new product features that will enhance our delivery teams’ and clients’ experience. This role serves as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Managers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize stories in the team backlog.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Owns the team backlog – responsible to define the stories, refine and prioritize the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities
  • Attend daily scrums with the development team to help drive priority decisions and remove roadblocks
  • Work with Product Management, Development, other Product Owners and Stakeholders to prepare for Program Iterations
  • Represents scope, content and goals during team iteration planning and execution
  • Responsible to accept stories and ensure they meet the definition of done
  • Participate in Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives and contribute to Showcase Demos
  • Support inclusion of improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the Program
  • Maintain team data in JIRA to support Epic and Story definition acceptance
  • Coordinate with delivery team and clients on releases
  • Connect with clients and delivery team on new features
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of professional relevant experience within software development environment
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Product Owner for Agile Teams
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Certified Scrum Master certification are highly preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or quantitative field or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Analytics, Data visualization and optimizations, GCP and ETL
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experience with common product management tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Previous experience with Agile software development methodology – experience as Scrum Product Owner desired
  • Prior experience working with development team on development and deployment of product releases
  • Technical expertise to be able to easily communicate with engineering teams
  • Experience writing user stories
  • Experience with managing and prioritizing product backlog
  • Experience participating in release and sprint planning sessions to select appropriate priorities from the product backlog for inclusion in release priorities
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
