About the Position:

Our client, a leading company in the aerospace, aviation, and defense industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Product Engineer to join their Aircraft Group. The successful candidate will support all phases of the product lifecycle, including development, new product introduction (NPI), product transfer, and product delivery. The Senior Product Engineer will play a key role in maintaining product integrity and quality while working independently or with other Product Engineer team members to support assembly and test operations. This exciting position offers the opportunity to work on complex programs, influence product cost, and provide technical guidance to Assembly and Test personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering + 12 years relevant technical experience (Masters of Science Degree in Engineering is a plus) OR Bachelor of Technology Degree in Engineering + 15 years relevant technical experience
• Knowledge and proven use of Siemens NX design software and Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management software
• Proven experience designing assembly/test tooling and writing assembly/test work instructions
• Detailed working knowledge of hydraulic, electric, and mechanical actuation products and their assembly/test methods
• Proven experience coordinating and interfacing with customers and/or suppliers on complex projects or issues
• Knowledge and proven use of Root Cause/Corrective Action investigation techniques, LEAN, Project Planning, and Product line transfer and Data Acquisition and Analysis
• Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

Requirements:

• Access to United States Export Controlled information is required
• Must be able to work on military contracts and access areas where there is ITAR information
• If not living in the Torrance, CA area, must be willing to relocate
