Bolton & Menk has an opportunity for a Senior Parks Planner to join our expanding team. What you will be doing:

In this role you will be responsible for managing complex parks planning projects which meet budget and schedule to client satisfaction. Project types will include park & recreation master plans for municipalities, trail and greenway plans, open space plans for conservation lands, and the planning of large parks. The ideal candidate will come from a landscape architecture and planning background with experience working on municipal and/or county parks and open space master plans and designs including at the urban/recreation/natural resources interface. We are looking for a candidate who has successfully led project teams to produce written documents that guide policy and implementation, as well as effective graphic communication and design thinking. Community engagement is an integral component of the work as is the ability to engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, or other applicable discipline from an accredited college
• 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in park and recreation planning for communities and agencies, trail and greenway planning, and planning of large parks and park systems
• Landscape Architect Licensure or AICP Certification
• Thorough knowledge of parks planning principles and practices
• Experienced in community engagement techniques and processes
• Skills with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Sketchup, Lumion)
• Skills with Graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Basic understanding of GIS applications
• Applied knowledge of methods and techniques of effective technical report preparation and presentations
• Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
• Must possess a valid drivers license. Travel will be required.
