THE ROLE:

Creative Goods Merchandise LLC (“Creative Goods”) is a dynamic full-service merchandising company based in NYC with a bold vision for the live entertainment space. Reporting to the Sr. Director Planning and Operations, the Senior Operations Manager (“Manager”) is responsible for providing operational support and oversight for all NYC-based retail projects managed by Creative Goods. This person will serve as the direct supervisor, mentor, and advisor to all location-based retail managers and sales staff. The Manager will collaborate with senior management on other special projects and initiatives and may have additional responsibilities assigned to them by the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, or Chief Executive Officer. The Manager must represent and foster the culture, values, and mission of Creative Goods and be a stellar ambassador for our company and clients. We’re looking for someone self-motivated with proven experience leading and building teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Navigate effortlessly throughout Creative Goods, serving as a hub of information relating to our operations and goals for experience-based retail projects
  • This role requires attention to detail, organization, project management, execution, stellar communication skills, and a relentlessly positive attitude

  • Report daily to the Sr Director with essential project information, internally and in the field
  • Work together with the Operations department to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and executed
  • Works with all corporate departments to maintain organized and cohesive operations across all experience-based projects
  • Helps develop and support an employee-oriented company culture that supports Diversity and Inclusion and emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, development, respect, and equity for all

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Operations department on inter-office communication with all departments, creating a fluid internal workflow across all CG projects
  • Directly oversee all operations for NYC retail projects at CG
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for recruiting and hiring all managers and sellers in NYC with HR recruiting protocols, and consistent with applicable state, local, and federal laws
  • Work with HR to employ proper employee onboarding, training, development, assessment, and enforce a compliant employment and labor law workforce
  • Take appropriate corrective/disciplinary action as necessary on a timely basis, following company policies for all experience-based employees, and makes recommendations on terminations with oversight from HR and senior management
  • Develop relationship with clients, theater management and vendors through consistent and complete communication and follow up as needed
  • Oversee project load-ins/loadouts, ensuring that all operational needs are met
  • Oversee training and work with site managers to develop training guides and procedures for local hires
  • Work with retail managers to create and maintain weekly operating schedule
  • Field day-to-day inquiries from staff regarding project operations and provide answers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with Finance department and site managers to ensure successful deposits and that bank pick-ups occur weekly and help resolve any problems
  • Anticipate operational needs across all projects and work within account strategy to mitigate and resolve problems.

Required Knowledge / Qualifications

  • College and or advanced degree preferred

  • At least four (4) to five (5) years of progressive management and operations experience

  • You have the highest integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results; act as a business steward

  • Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and articulate financial, budgeting, planning, and operational business acumen to clients and senior management

  • Extensive experience leading and supervising team members is required

  • You are collaborative and flexible in your management style and can manage a team in a multitasking environment

  • Ability to manage team performance and assess staff’s progress, motivate and be a key player in staff development, training, and mentoring effectively

  • Ability to multitask, strong analytical skills, use creative problem solving, sound judgment and reprioritize within short notice to deliver under deadlines and senior management responsiveness

  • Maintains and protects confidential work matters and is collaborative and flexible in management style
