Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Reporting & Business Intelligence (BI) Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the BI framework to ensure the business information and the technical components provide a solution that meets the needs of the clients

- Experience in designing/developing/supporting a MicroStrategy semantic layer
- Able to formulate business questions, effectively gather requirements, and communicate to both business and technical stakeholders. Determine the proper course of action to be taken and/or provide a recommendation for a solution.
- Work with structured, unstructured, and embedded data
- Comfortable interfacing with various associates throughout the organization: business users, infrastructure teams, developers, business analysts, etc.
Requirements:
- Develop dynamic dashboards, grids, graphs, scorecards, and statistical reporting utilizing MicroStrategy 2021 version software
- Design future dashboards including the design of the data warehouse tables, Source to Target ETL logic and dashboard development
- Senior member of team that interacts with business engagement teams to define dashboards and reporting solutions to meet diverse complex business needs
- Work closely with Analytics team to enable datasets for self-service analytics for multiple analytical tools like SAS, MicroStrategy and future toolsets
- Recommend changes to policies and established procedures that affect immediate BI teams. Establish and maintain design and development best practices
- Define and develop strategy for the roll out of new features of the MicroStrategy tool and version upgrades
- Provide proactive production support for MicroStrategy and other BI/Analytics applications. Including monitoring usage patterns and recommending improvements
- Configure and manage memory handling of MicroStrategy Objects according to performance requirements
- Work with UI/UX developer to create and maintain the interface design plans and technical design documents for development of the application according to business requirements.
- Develop all MicroStrategy related ETL processes and procedures for all development work
- Provide feedback/reports on system usage and potential bottlenecks
- Manage MicroStrategy Administration Product Suites
- Create and update all necessary design documentation as per the project requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (e.g., engineering) preferred
- 7+ years of related work experience including 4+ years of MicroStrategy experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing projects
- Experience in implementing of BI projects with a strong understand about architecture, development, and administration concepts.
- Strong experience developing stored procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers using MSSQL
- Knowledge of standard support development frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with MicroStrategy security models
- Experience in Agile development methodology
- Experience in Data Warehousing (Star/Snowflake schema) concepts.
- Strong experience on Schema objects like Logical tables, Attributes, Facts, Hierarchies etc.
- Strong experience on public objects like Metrics, Filter, Prompts, Custom Groups, Consolidations, Reports, Documents and Dashboards
- Experience with windows operating system, MSSQL relational databases and data sources MicroStrategy connects.
- Familiar with MicroStrategy Administration Tasks including: 1. Project Administration 2. User Administration 3. Intelligent Server Administration
- Experience in Microsoft TFS required, experience in Microsoft Devops preferred
- Experience with containers highly desirable

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $96,358 to $164,069. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
