Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and engineering team within the Places Global Business Area. Arcadis office space is available for individuals who would like to work in an office environment.

Role description:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will lead the mechanical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for leading design efforts and serve as the engineer of record. As a mechanical engineer you will also support proposal and business development efforts, working with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, project managers, and clients.

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
  • Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
  • Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients’ team members.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, IECC, ANSI, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
  • Fluency in design and modeling of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems using software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, Trane Trace).
  • Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
  • Perform various system studies (thermal comfort, indoor air quality, humidity control, energy management)
  • Support proposal efforts to win design work
  • Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs
  • Provide mentoring to junior staff

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum years of experience: 10+
  • State-issued professional engineering license.

This position is eligible for participating in a company bonus program. The salary range for this position is $97,600 - $168,360.
