The Developer Platforms team is in search of a dynamic, highly skilled individual to build and lead our InnerSource strategy and organization. In this role you will be accelerating the pace of software innovation across the company by connecting developers and technologies using open source mindset, discipline and methodologies. You are a passionate, motivated communicator, able to articulate your team’s strategy, vision and value to everyone from executive leadership to the individual developers that you work with on a daily basis. As part of the Software Engineering and Solutions Business Unit, the Developer Platforms org is responsible for driving culture, collaboration, and innovation across all software programs in the company. As leader of the Innersource team you will work closely alongside your peers in the Open Source Program Office (OSPO), Software Community, Software Practices, Program Management, Infrastructure, and Developer Experience teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage an organization of InnerSource professionals dedicated to shaping ADI’s software culture and practices by breaking down silos and fostering open and collaborative ways of working.
  • Specify and implement the internal tooling and infrastructure needed to allow frictionless discovery, re-use and measurement of software technologies across the company.
  • Work closely with our Open Source Program Office (OSPO) to ensure that our Innersource values and practices are consistently aligned with our open source principles.
  • Partner with our colleagues in IT, Legal, Security and Engineering Enablement to eliminate red tape and foster an incredible developer experience for our software teams.
  • Have a strong documentation-first mentality so that we can easily share our learnings, best practices and ways of working across the entire company.
  • Present at conferences and industry events, positioning ADI as a strong and transparent leader in Innersource culture and adoption.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to developers and teams on Innersource best practices and tools.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of our Innersource program through the development of metrics and evaluation of program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Master's in Computer Science, Business Administration, Program Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing Innersource or open source programs within an organization.
  • Strong understanding of inner source best practices and tools, including experience with git and GitHub.
  • A proven track record of shaping software culture to be more open, inclusive and collaborative.
  • A deep understanding of the tools and infrastructure necessary to enable collaborative engineering across a wide range of software disciplines from deeply embedded to desktop to cloud and beyond.
  • A natural problem solver who enjoys collaborating across organizational boundaries towards the common good of the company
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in Innersource, open source, and eager to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute on strategy, with experience creating and managing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Passion for promoting a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous learning.
