Overview:

The Senior Manager of Medical Records will be the company’s main responsible agent for successfully integrating PharMerica’s pharmacy systems and processes with our client’s needs for paper Medication and Treatment Administration Records (MAR/TARs). This is an important role within PharMerica and a critical component to support PharMerica customers in the Assisted Living and IDD space.

To achieve the above objectives, the Senior Manager of Medical Records will directly oversee a team of (currently) 20+ team leads and support associates and collaborate closely with other teams to set joint priorities, define action plans, and maintain cross-functional accountability and coordination.

This is not a remote position. Applicants must live a commutable distance to the Beaverton, OR office and expected to work on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer-facing MAR/TAR projects are completed on time, on budget and to the full satisfaction of clients. These projects span across multiple long term care settings
  • Works within and assure process improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training programs to have the team member retain skillset required to work with the internal technology platforms
  • PharMerica maintains productive relationships with our customers
  • Customers and internal teams get timely support with issues or questions around MAR/TARs
  • Recurring issues related to production and shipping a quality product are documented, tracked, root causes determined, solutions are designed, problems resolved, and issues do not re-surface
  • Desired new features are documented, prioritized on a roadmap, deployed according to the schedule, and effectively communicated to internal stakeholders and clients
  • The Team is appropriately structured, staffed, skilled, trained and motivated to successfully execute a quality product
  • Assists the VP of Client Support Services to define Medical Record strategy and companywide
  • Leads customer-facing support
  • Coordinates other teams to ensure successful execution (Operations, IT, Implementations, Account Management, Customer Service Center, Nurse Consulting Services, Billing, etc…)
  • Liaison with facility landlord/building maintenance, Med Rec vendors, BrightSpring owned/operating pharmacies: PMC, ChemRx, PAL, PPPL, Trinity, KERR, & ongoing acquisitions
Qualifications:

This position requires an experienced team leader and influencer in the healthcare industry who can lead and develop teams, define and roll-out standard processes, interact with customers, maintain positive vendor relationships, lead cross-functional initiatives, understand pharmacy operations, understand technical challenges, manage a budget, and achieve business goals.

Given the above, candidates should match the following profile:

  • Two or more years of experience within the long-term care pharmacy industry and/or long-term-care industry
  • Two or more years of Project Management experience
  • Five or more years of team leadership experience, including team design, staffing, training and development, as well as managing though budgets and objectives
  • Proven track-record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects in large healthcare organizations
  • Excellent communication skills, presentations skills, and gravitas
  • Proven ability to influence customers, peers, senior executives, vendors
