Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of HR Americas, REHAU is looking to hire a highly motived and experienced, and energetic
Senior HR Generalist to provide HR leadership at one of its manufacturing facilities in Cullman, Alabama overseeing approximately 200 employees.
This role is a proactive business partner to the Operations and HR Management and provides hands-on on-site leadership around talent, performance, benefits, and administration of the HR function. This role will also provide HR services to two other smaller warehouse locations in MI and TX. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, continuous improvement, and change management.
Essential Functions:
- Handles the local aspects of key human resource processes- including workforce planning and budgeting- compensation administration- organizational planning- performance management- and organizational change/effectiveness.
- Runs salaried and hourly talent acquisitions activities within the facility including recruitment- selection and testing- onboarding.
- Provides comprehensive HR services and support aligned with core values; understands and support business priorities
- Generates HR & business solutions; makes recommendations to senior leadership
- Aligns HR initiatives with operational needs
- Understands and supports change management initiatives
- Administers HR policies and programs in a fair and consistent manner; recommends policy/procedure changes within the Corporate framework and effectively communicates with the workforce
- Provides strong problem-solving in a professional, positive, and friendly manner
- Coordinates with payroll to ensure accurate earnings and deductions
- Effectively utilizes HRIS to streamline processes; provides accurate data and reporting
- Conducts investigations and makes recommendations for disciplinary action
- Documents all relevant matters and maintains employee records
- Conducts new hire orientations and coordinates new hire training plans
- Works with the HR team of an affiliate company next door, corporate HR department as well as the Legal department to ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of HR
- Work with Production Managers and Supervisors on engagement and staffing initiatives, best employee relation management, supporting full-life cycle of employee management, identify opportunities for process improvements striving for world-class HR partnership
- Develop and enhance employee communication strategies to increase connectivity and transparency
- Analyzing data on employee metrics and report on findings/recommendations
- Collaborate with broader HR team to ensure team and goals and work is aligned with overall organizational goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
- Lead/Participate in projects that focus on improving factory execution
- Supervises a HR Generalist, delegates projects as appropriate
- Oversees special events for staff by coordinating committees and schedules, and staying within budget
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Human Resource Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist / HR Manager experience
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex employee relation matters
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems (UKG, SAP) and MS office
- Must have strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to implement change
- Ability to prioritize work, and work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate data management
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Intermediate PowerPoint and MS Office skills
- PHR or SPHR Certification a plus
- Strong drive for results- problem solving & conflict management abilities
- Demonstrable ability to deal with ambiguity
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on his or her skills, education, experience and geographic location. Total compensation may also include bonuses consistent with REHAU’s corporate bonus plan.
