Job Description:


Position Summary:
ENGEO is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to assist our development and legacy environmental projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in environmental compliance and remediation including topics like vapor intrusion, free product assessment and recovery, soil and groundwater assessment and remediation techniques. Experience with Human Health Risk modeling and toxicology is a plus. As a senior level engineer, you will work closely with our environmental team and clients to develop solutions for a multitude of projects on fast closure timeframes. As a leader, you will help to grow our environmental practice through mentorship, growth and training initiatives.

Approximate Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise, oversight, and quality control on environmental due diligence and remediation sites
  • Lead internal process improvement initiatives and strategies
  • Project management on fast moving, complex environmental projects
  • Staff oversight and mentorship
  • As needed, assist staff in performing fieldwork and basic reporting
  • Interact with regulatory agencies as an advocate for our clients
  • Be an active team member on projects and maintain client's scope/budget/schedule expectations
  • Ensure quality standards on project deliverables
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ENGEO employees
  • Perform other duties as requested


Experience and Skills:

Education: BA/BS degree in environmental studies, remediation, environmental engineering, chemistry, or related field; M.S. technical degree (preferred); PG, CHG, PE desired.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting. Experience working with the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board, Department of Toxic Substances Control, and local Bay Area environmental health departments, and familiarity with their published guidance documents and regulations.

Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Excellent writing, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and "people" skills. Well-developed teambuilding and influencing skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address client and business needs and challenges. Positive outlook, collaborative, and driven by the success of ENGEO.
