Responsibilities:
Sr. Engineer, DevOps sought by CareCentrix, Inc. (Hartford, Connecticut) to work on a team focusing on the day-to-day tasks of managing and maintaining Datacenter environments, building source code, deploying binaries, performing configuration, and monitoring application servers. Research and develop build and deployment automation tools while working in an agile environment. Automate the development and test automation processes through a Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using development tools including GitFlow, Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory, Ansible, Puppet and Chef. Develop and configure tools for more productive Front-end Operations, including building, testing, and deploying tools and monitoring error logs to ensure stability. Drive continuous improvements in deployment, management and monitoring of the application’s web services. Manage and maintain multiple development environments. Contribute to improvements in processes that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the DevOps and product development teams in responding to customer and business needs. Solve live performance and stability issues and prevent their recurrence. Administer in Linux systems and various tools including JIRA, Git, Jenkins or other similar systems. In addition to that, Administer SQL and Oracle databases. Administer Jira to Create, Manage and customize complex workflows. Develop automated deployment and monitoring tools in Ansible, Python, bash or similar scripting languages. Administer and manage Kafka and Zookeeper clusters. Managed Topics administration through Jenkins. Research and analyze tools and technologies to optimize building and deploying code-base, manage distributed production systems and application resources Deploy new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment. Work with various teams including: developers, QA, triage, technical support, project managers, database administrators and technical writers. Document and complete knowledge transfer to production support. Work with Release Management to ensure modules are production ready. Position requires 100% telecommuting. Salary range: $127,400 to $140,000. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a directly related field, plus 6 years of experience in DevOps engineering; or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a directly related field, plus 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering. Experience must include all of the following: 3 years’ experience with DevOps, continuous integration/delivery, automation, and instrumentation of SDLC processes, applications, services, and hosting infrastructure in Linux and Windows based operating systems; 3 years’ experience in programming using Java, Ruby and/or Python; and 2 years’ experience with implementing Infrastructure as code for provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
