Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supports manufacturing of complex assemblies such as controllers, pumps, fans, and sensors
- Work alongside the engineering team to determine electrical manufacturing methods and techniques to evaluate producibility
- Can develop, produce, and modify process operation, assembly documentation & concept tools
- Provide technical expertise for the assembly of Life support and Thermal control applications
- Determine root cause and execute corrective actions and disposition non-conforming hardware
- Knowledge of GD&T and can integrate within a production process. Keen understanding of B/P interpretation as it relates to specification requirements.
- Identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliability
- Must be able to review drawings and concepts and resolve producibility concerns, such as providing recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
- Identifies opportunities or implements changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources
- Communicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally.
- Production troubleshooting (cause & effect) must be a strength.
- Can rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniques.
- Create presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings

Required Skills (Technical Competencies):
- Familiarity creating manufacturing operation sheets
- Electrical design for manufacturing
- Proficient in blueprint reading
- Proficient in GD&T as well as a firm background in generating operation assembly sheets
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, machining concepts and special processing such as welding and brazing, is desirable
Desired Skills:
- Minimum of 3 - 6 years’ experience
- Familiarity with modeling and or a design package such as Creo
- Strong knowledge of Continuous improvement methods and demonstrated use of their tools, such as Shainen Red X, Taguchi Design of Experiment, Dmaic, Ishikawa and Fault Tree Analysis is desirable
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and special processing such as IPC-J-STD-001E/ES, NASA-STD-8739.1, and NASA-STD-8739.4
- Familiarity with MRP systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Self-motivated to ensure accountability, disciplined to improve processes, passionate about engineering, and organized to track many work streams
- Previous experience in Life Support and/or Thermal Control hardware is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completion
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
