Torch Technologies, an employee-owned company, is seeking a driven and talented highly skilled Senior Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. Our Technology Integration and Prototyping Center (TIPC) engineering team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating complex solutions. The TIPC electronics team is a design-focused group specializing in advanced hardware products for a diverse range of aerospace and military systems including manned/unmanned ground/air vehicles, missiles, defensive radars, and space systems. The individual selected for this position must be a self-starter with strong technical skills and a willingness to be a team player in a solution-driven atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in PCB design, including schematic design, firmware development, digital and analog circuit design, PCB layout, and FPGA firmware development.No job description available
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and designing highly complex electrical hardware products, from concept to production.
- Creating product specifications, solving technical challenges, and ensuring adherence to performance standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, and firmware engineers.
- Developing schematics, testing, and debugging circuit boards and sub-assemblies, developing PCB layouts, and developing FPGA firmware.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
- Must possess a strong understanding of digital/analog hardware for use in embedded systems
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical hardware design, including PCB design (schematic/firmware/digital/analog/PCB layout).
- Experience using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
- Willingness to travel
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret-level security clearance, US Citizenship is required
- Work well both independently and with a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical hardware design, including PCB design (schematic/firmware/digital/analog/PCB layout).
