Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and engineering team within the Places Global Business Area. Role description:
Arcadis needs an electrical engineer with broad capabilities. As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead the electrical discipline of multiple concurrent projects through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for leading design efforts and serve as the engineer of record. As an electrical engineer you will also support proposal and business development efforts, working with project teams, other senior and junior engineers, project managers, and clients designing power distribution, lighting, telecom and fire alarm systems on various projects.
Role accountabilities:
- Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
- Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
- Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
- Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits and collaboration with clients’ team members.
- Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as international standards such as IEC, CE, EN.
- Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, ETAP, EDSA, Easy Power).
- Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
- Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
- Perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination)
- Support proposal efforts to win design work
- Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs
- Provide mentoring to junior staff
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BS in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of relevant experience
- State-issued professional engineering license.
- Consulting experience.
