Senior Datacenter Inventory & Asset Technician.
Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Datacenter inventory & Asset Technician, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate any escalated task risks and reported issues.
- Prioritize and assign ticketed work to Data Center Inventory and Asset Technicians on team.
- Leverage process knowledge and technical skills to resolve escalations (or further escalate if needed), clear blocking issues, and may enable on site and/or remote data center support activities.
- Provide technical support and task specific guidance to a team of technicians responsible for preparing and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries and documenting inbound/outbound packages (e.g. purchase order receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor activities).
- Prioritize ticketing queues, work to resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of Inventory and Asset Management activities.
- Follow all Service Level Agreements related to warranty process.
- Manage schedule of destruction or shredding in partnership with senior leadership.
- Create execution plans with the goal of improving satisfaction and performance within an area or organization-level group.
- Identify and resolve delivery and execution roadblocks serving as point of contact for arising issues.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma AND 2+ year(s) experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Background Check Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation
- OR equivalent experience.
Materials Handling ATR-D - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $24.50 - $42.25 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $33.00 - $46.41 per hour.
