Senior Coordinator, Membership Sales (Full-Time, Regular)
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County was the first museum in L.A. to open its doors 107 years ago and is poised for an exciting new era as it plans for the future. Having recently completed a new strategic framework, the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County—including NHM at Exposition Park, La Brea Tar Pits and museum in mid-Wilshire, and the William S. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Membership Sales for our Advancement department. The Senior Coordinator, Membership Sales works closely with the Manager of Membership at the Natural History Museum. It is an exciting time as we embark on new journeys of becoming a museum of, for, and with L.A.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Alongside Senior Program Coordinator, oversees the onsite communications and sales activities of the Museum Ambassadors at NHM and LBTP during museum opening hours, especially during weekends, holidays, and events.

Coordinates with Advancement Services, Ambassadors, and Guest Relations to ensure that sales and data entry standards are met.

Provides support to the overall Individual Giving effort by collaborating with the Membership Senior Program Coordinator and Membership Manager to retain existing Members, acquire new Members and recapture lapsed Members.

Responsible for working with Guest Relations Managers, Supervisors and Leads to ensure Guest Relations Associates are properly trained, motivated, and have the tools necessary to renew/upgrade existing members, solicit visitors to become new members, and request donations from both visitors and members in order to achieve membership and annual fund goals.

Develop the onsite membership and annual fund plan as well as assist in the projection of those onsite revenues.
This position has the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Must have two to three years of experience working in sales and working knowledge of ticketing/membership systems.

Must have excellent customer service and sales experience.

Must work weekends, events, and holidays

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience and commitment working with a diverse community. Salary range for this position is $25.40 - $27.32with experience plus excellent benefits. This is a full-time, regular nonexempt position.
