Description
Reporting to the Director of Print and Mail Services, the Senior Clerk handles many clerical services and responsibilities relating to the daily operations of Print and Mail Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Sorts both U.S. and on-campus mail.
- Supports the on-campus delivery process twice daily including the delivery of on-campus signature required completed print jobs.
- Loads, catches, and trays inserted, addressed, and/or metered mail and packages of mailing materials for return by the oncampus delivery process or the creation of a Plant work order.
- Responsible for Customer Service interactions with attention to details in a professional and procedural manner via phone, in person, work tickets, job jackets, email, and/or service desks and outreach to customer(s) when clarity is necessary.
- Assists in preparation of bulk mail and collation of multi-part mailings (inserting) as needed.
- Assists in preparation and metering of all mail types as needed.
- Understands, operates, and troubleshoots all Print and Mail Services technologies including the printing machines for direct to print usage, large format printer and printing equipment, cutter, folder, laminator, shrink wrapper, stapler, hole puncher, jogger, perf/scoring machine, comb and tape binders, addresser, inserter, wafering machines, and the mail machines, as needed.
- Prepares, prints, and mounts posters, as needed. Can be trained on use of Mail Manager 2010 and WebCRD or comparable software to maintain existing Mail Manager 2010 templates used in the bulk mailing process as well as paper and mail material inventories as stored in the Butler Annex warehouse.
- Can be trained on use of forklift, as needed.
- May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skill and which are normally included within the above job title.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications
- Ability to work independently.
- A valid New York state driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart and mail van.
- Flexible availability to work holidays and overtime, when necessary.
- Working knowledge of WebCRD and Mail Manager 2010 or comparable software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of print and mail center functions and USPS regulations.
