Where the Chemistry Happens

Our team is searching for a Senior Charging Controller who will provide charging and pricing support for GB clusters, including but not limited to monthly deliverables, preparation of charging transparency, year over year performance review, and where appropriate, simulations and forecasting. Support service area leaders and Controlling Partners. Financial ownership of the reporting process and storytelling of the evolution of charges.

As a Senior Charging Controller you create chemistry by…

• Managing charging activities for all GB services with high focus on transparency for Operating Divisions and other Service recipients. You will also provide a high degree of transparency of cost drivers and secure understanding of business reasons behind deviations for receiver
• Utilizing your strong organizational skills, you will manage independently requests and questions from Service recipients on charging development and design and further develop an effective charging mechanism to ensure recovery of costs and transparency as well as analyze and monitor cost flows while balancing residuals on an early stage
• Your entrepreneurial and leadership mindset will be invaluable as you will identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance processes and tools
• Demonstrating your robust analytical skills, you will develop new solutions and concepts, e.g. new charging concept, contract framework, tax requirements
• Your flexibility and ability to manage multiple priorities will be a valued asset as you independently engage with a broad range of stakeholders in close collaboration with Controlling Partners

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Educational and professional background in Controlling/Finance
• Masters’ degree in university and previous work experience in Controlling of more than 5 years
• Strong analytical & problem-solving thinking, creativity
• Strong communication skills to motivate, partly coach/convince/persuade heterogenous target groups
• Strong IT Skills (SAP (e.g. FI, PPM), BW (e.g. COINS), Dashboard Solutions (Power BI or similar), Database knowledge (SQL, VBA), CARS (Cost Accounting & Reporting for Services)
• Strong English knowledge
• Deep understanding of Clusters and their specifics
