Job Summary

CBRE is seeking a Sr. Analyst to support a large e-commerce, cloud computing, and digital streaming company to achieve their high-reaching energy and sustainability goals. The scope for this position will begin by assisting the client in preparing for a large electric vehicle roll out. The role will also get exposure to supporting energy and sustainably programs, utility procurement, and energy efficiency programs. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop/improve a project management plan including detailed schedule, and a mechanism to supervise progress, changes, and project roadblocks, including any requested resources from the client to fully complete the results.
  • Initiate and maintain working relationships with utility partners across North America.
  • Initiate and maintain working relationships with other energy/sustainability teams, project teams, real estate support teams and other local building staff across North America.
  • Prepare and file new applications for service with utilities, including collection of vital documents and information required by utilities.
  • Maintain and optimize internal databases of site conditions, power/energy requirements and power procurement achievements.
  • Perform various energy analysis and prepare regular reporting program data.
  • Run internal approval process for clients and maintain records of utility agreements.
  • Learn and become familiar with the different regulated and deregulated energy markets and pricing components.
  • Ability to follow a process and recommend process improvements where needed.
  • Run to scheduled results while balancing frequent ad hoc requests

Supervisory Responsibilities

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-works within a work unit and/or project.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must have a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Upbeat and passionate about the energy and sustainability field.
  • Solid understanding of electrical power infrastructure including but not limited to power distribution, switchgear, and metering.
  • High comfort level in holding calls with project managers, developers and utility company partners around topics such as power capacity requirements, construction timelines, and charging infrastructure programs.
  • Willingness to prioritize and shift gears to different assignments to adapt to the clients’ needs.
  • Understanding of project financials and cost implications.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Power Query experience. Proficient with SQL queries.
  • Experience building and maintaining business tools using Google AppSheet, Smartsheet, MS SharePoint, Airtable or similar low/no code SaaS platforms.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training. Minimum five years of related experience and/or training preferred.

Certificates and/or Licenses

CEM or EMIT accreditation preferred or interest in obtaining

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to clients. Ability to successfully present information.

Financial Knowledge

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to take on problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and qualitative skills.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to write reports, manuals in a pre-designed style and format.

Scope of Responsibility

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $90,000 annually [or $43.26 per hour] and the maximum salary for the position is $120,000 annually [or $57.69 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
