Our Opportunity
GPJ is looking for a Senior Accountant that will support the Senior Finance Manager in multiple month-end close tasks, analyzing P&L activity, performing account reconciliations and managing the agency's capital expenditures. This role is hybrid and reports to our Auburn Hills, MI office.
What You'll Do
- Capital and operating lease review and payment
- Office rent payment and forecasting
- Complete monthly reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
- Complete monthly reconciliations for various income statement accounts
- Capital expenditure management
- Code and post vendor invoices
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Job cost maintenance
- Resolve data integrity issues with ERP systems
- Month end close responsibility
- Perform ad-hoc reporting for management
- Interagency eliminations for cross charges
- Monthly T&E analysis – budget vs. actual
- Post daily cash receipts in the ledger

What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration / Accounting / Finance
- Experience with month end close
- Experience with MS Word, Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and decisive
- Ability to produce error-free work, while working to meet deadlines
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Ability to work hours beyond standard business hours as needed, especially during peak business cycles
- Problem solving at a Macro Level
