RMC is seeking a detailed oriented Security Specialist for NSWC Indian Head - Mainside. The selected applicant shall provide professional assistance to the senior manager and employees providing command level support. The selected applicant will provide DoD and security experience to provide access control and visitor request support. They will process expected visitor forms, verify vetting and vetting forms to submit for approval, issue visitor passes, and send visit requests using JPAS. The selected applicant will verify clearances in JPAS for visit requests received, process badge paperwork, and issue badges. The selected applicant may assist in initial and periodic investigations and assist with fingerprinting and in-processing of new employees. The selected applicant will perform day to day office duties in support of the security office. The candidate will be handling secure information, so prior knowledge of how this information should be handled and stored is required.
Requirements
Security Clearance: An active DoD secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
The candidate must have an advanced working knowledge of MS Office, and a willingness to learn other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Working knowledge of Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPASS) is desired, but not mandatory.
RMC employees may be subject to COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements in order to access government facilities.

Pay: Up to $58,000.00 per year
