• Performs various tasks associated with the Facility Truck Gate including verifying trailers/drivers as they arrive/depart the Facility, etc.
• Monitors entrance/exit into the Facility. Inspects parcels coming into and leaving the Facility, checks badges and identification of persons entering the Facility
• Utilizes metal detectors to determine the presence of items prohibited in the Facility
• Conducts monthly inspections of all fire extinguishers in the Facility
• Conducts and assists with tests of the Intrusion, Fire Suppression, and other Alarm Systems as required by JCPenney standards.
• Conducts patrol activity inside and outside the Facility; operates patrol vehicles
• Utilizes the CCTV System to monitor activities inside and outside the Facility
• Conduct preliminary investigations; document equipment accidents and injuries as directed.
• Operates telephone switchboard
• Responds to emergencies; may be required to participate in bodily fluid clean-up; may be required to render CPR or other first responder duties. May be required to operate a fire extinguisher.
• Prepares reports of irregularities, investigations, incidents, thefts, and shrinkage issues.

Qualifications / Core Competencies / Education:

• Ability to stand and walk for more than four hours continuously.

• Ability to lift/handle up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
• Ability to withstand hot and cold outside weather conditions.
• Basic Computer literacy (email, Office Word and Excel skills).
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid license to operate a motor vehicle with no more than 2 violation points.
• One year in security environment preferred
• Conflict Management experience as well as ability to professionally handle stressful situations

Available Shifts:

• Friday-Tuesday; 11:00pm-7:30am (3rd Shift)
• Tuesday-Saturday; 3:00pm-11:30pm (2nd Shift)
• Thursday-Monday; 3:00pm-11:30pm (2nd Shift)
