The Beach/Pool Attendant will be responsible for the daily servicing the beach and pool areas to ensure quality service to the members and guests. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques. Ensuring that Cabana Bar and Shack and Hotel Pool experience is delivered in a world-class manner.
- Overseeing the Member and Guest arrival and departure experience.
- Completing the daily setup and breakdown of all chaise lounges, umbrellas, and beach cabanas.
- Providing chair-side service and amenities.
- Ensuring the daily cleanliness of the pool and/or beach areas.
- Assisting with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers.
- Ensuring the beach and pool areas are secured each evening, in the event of a storm, or before a special event.
Requirements:
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
- Be in good health and able to endure extended periods of standing and bending.
- Extremely tolerant of working in heat and direct sun.
- Be able to work independently.
- Possess a positive attitude and be able to deliver exceptional service.
- Present a well-groomed, polished and friendly appearance.
- Be flexible and able to work split shifts that will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting up to 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, and reach up and down.
- Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Experience:
- Minimum one year of service experience in a hospitality environment.
Education:
- High school diploma.
Licenses and Certificates:
- You must be a minimum of 21 years of age to pour alcohol.
- Food Handlers Certification required
The pay scale for this position is between $15.50/hour plus tips. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
Rosewood Miramar Beach requires all associates to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination, including receiving a booster if eligible. Accordingly, applicants will be required to submit proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment and may only begin employment if fully vaccinated.
